As late fall approaches, the ACNNJ Plein Air class recasts it’s focus and comes inside. Join us to imagine and create larger paintings (typically 16” x 20” to 24” x 30”) from field studies, photo references, or other compositional references such as works by masters past and present. We will consider aspects of composition and value, light and color, brushwork and paint handling as you bring your vision to life in a fully realized work.
We’ll meet Friday afternoons from 1:30 – 4:30 at the Art Center in New Milford. Should the weather permit (above 50/55 degrees at least) we may opt to paint winter scenes outdoors (plein air) by mutual agreement in advance.
Painters who are not yet part of our Plein Air group are welcome to join this class and learn all about approaches to landscapes in the studio and how to bring outdoor inspirations inside.
